Comics in Disguise

Hey baby... wanna brush off my windshield so I can drive?

Well winter is more or less here where I live now. Which is good, cause when it's a little too warm, it's kind of creepy, thanks to our scientists and global warming making me unable to actually enjoy a relatively warm autumn.
<- As Jazz says in this episode where this screenshot originates: "Maybe it's some kind of natural phenomenom." Which cracks me up everytime I hear it, because I picture Prime turning to him and going, "Maybe it's some kind of attitude like that that's in denial of a larger problem!"

I'm trying something a little different... instead of posting the massive comics that I have, whenever it can be helped I thought I would break them up a little more - leading to quicker updates, less downloading time, etc. I'm going to see how it does, let me know any feedback.

...Remember... hate mail to Megatron.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! Hope you guys had a safe trip if you've been travelling, and have a nice day of eating turkey and other food stuffs, and best of all having the day off work/school!

So I thought last night I'd go to sleep early and get some extra sleep for this upcoming week - which translated into 'let's stay up until 1am drawing, then stay awake until about 2.'
You think this might make me a little angry at myself the following Monday morning, but actually I'm quite happy. You see, I've been draughting for the past couple of weeks - whereas before I couldn't wait to get home from work to start working on the next comic, I'd come home and wouldn't even be able to look at my site. Drawing took twice as long as normal for anything and looked terrible. Basically - I had lost my inspiration. I'm sure everyone feels the same way once in a while, every so often I feel like burning all of my sketchbooks, but don't give up! We'll see how the next set of pages turn out, I hope you enjoy them!

Yes, today's comic is deffinately a little simpler than some of the recent ones I've done that have almost killed me....

But to be honest trying 'the many faces of Starscream' was a lot of fun. Until next time!

I wish Wheeljack really was 'editing' the DvD Transformers movie to 'make it better' because I'd be curious what he'd do with it. I know I haven't updating the news in like a week, mostly because I was so satisfied with my big rant about the Transformers movie last week that I decided to keep it up so everyone would be sure to read it. The truth is though... if you watch the movie the 2D animation is amazing.

New comic up, enjoy! I personally like the second panel with Bumblebee in it, I redrew it like 5 times to get it right. Also.. I hate backgrounds...

Well yesterday was the big release of the Transformers special edition DvD! That's right folks... watch Ultra Magnus not deal with things and Hot Rod take over command of the Autobots! Watch Perceptor LIVE while better transformers DIE. Meet WHEELIE.My only consolation is that poor Ratchet and Ironhide die before they can see that. I think that must be when Mirage and Hound decide to /gquit the Autobots and hopefully live rich and fulfilling lives away from the conflict. (Go hang out with the female autobots also not shown in the movie)

Yes, I admit I liked the movie. It's just hard not to complain at least a little bit when so many of my favourite characters (such as Ratchet) get shot up in the first 10 minutes of the movie in gunfire that they normally withstood and more in the regular show...

New comic up!
Me thinks Starscream might be in for a surprise - of course that's nothing new, unfortunately for Megatron.

I have a new front banner too, if you've wondered if something's looked just a bit off about the front page, but don't worry - Jazz still has a home here, he's on the About page, and in the archived comics.

So the new comic was all drawn up, inked and almost ready to go, when I looked at it and realized I didn't like a couple of pictures in it. I'm going to redraw those few panels this weekend then hopefully I'll have it done.

If you're wondering why we make so many jokes at Windcharger's dispense in the news section, (and later on in the comics) it's because when I was running through the original story idea with Meg, we were deciding who would be obscure enough for the Decepticons to capture, and originally Windcharger's name was put out there. But then I decided he was too obscure... even I had forgotten what the heck he looked like and what he did. So Sunstreaker became the Autobot to use.

comicsindisguise.com is an unofficial generation 1 transformers fan site and dedicated to all of you who, like myself, grew up watching the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out. The comics are mainly based off the original cartoon series which began in 1984.
